We have many great ministry opportunities at this church. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to take some time during warden’s announcements to put the spotlight on a few of them. Out in the Gathering Space, you’ll see a couple of posters highlighting these and others.
But don’t think that’s all that’s available. The possibilities are endless. Where do you feel God is calling you to share your gifts in ministry? It may be to join an existing groups; It may be an idea that no one else has thought of.
Whatever the opportunity, we can assure you of a few things:
- • It will be interesting work
- • You will be helping to make your church a better place
- • You may even learn something new
And we’re all here to support one another. We want people to feel joy in their ministries. So we will try to be reasonable with what we ask and not overburden people.
Without further ado, here’s our first highlight:
Is working with numbers your Number ONE interest?
Well, we have a job for you. In fact, TWO jobs.
They’re both ways for those of you who like number-crunching to serve the TRINITY.
Let’s remember Jesus made a numbers guy (a tax collector) named Matthew one of his apostles, and Matthew went on to write one of the FOUR Gospels
We need a records scanner to work with Audrey Bullerwell to do a year-end to check the books, and we need a Stewardship Committee to work with our treasurer Bill McKinstry.
The Stewardship Committee, as you might remember from Vestry, is part of our FIVE-year Mission & Ministry Plan.
So if you like numbers, please consider one of these positions. It’s SIX of one and half a dozen of the other as to which position you volunteer for.
For these and any other ideas, contact any member of the Executive Team: Rev. June, Russ Braley, Mary Grant, Sandra Coulson, or Bill McKinstry.
